The primary purpose of this blog is to support the teaching and learning for the mathematics education course ED 3940 at Memorial University. You can think of this blog as a way for us to continue the conversations that we have in class, to share resources, and to anchor our work in a public space.

Sir Ken Robinson - Do Schools Kill Creativity?
On Thursday we watched Sir Ken Robinson's 2006 TED Talk. I have included it here for you to re-watch if you are interested. He has many other talks that are worth watching too.
Did anything resonate with you from what he said? What struck you as interesting, surprising, or troubling? Why would I show this to you in a class about teaching children mathematics? Please give these questions some thought, put those thoughts together in a blog post.
FYI, I am still waiting for a few people to send me their blog links..... Ahem... :)
